R. William Thompson, MD

A native of Oklahoma, Dr. Thompson completed his undergraduate studies at Oklahoma State University and obtained his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He attained his head and neck surgical training at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, under the guidance of Dr. Frederick Stucker, world-renowned rhinoplasty surgeon and past president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS).

After residency, Dr. Thompson completed a facial plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship sponsored by the AAFPRS with Dr. Stephen Smith at Smith Facial Plastics and The Ohio State University. Dr. Thompson has expertise in cosmetic procedures, including rhytidectomy (facelift), rhinoplasty (nose job), blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), and minimally invasive and in-office procedures (Botox, fillers, chemical peels, lasers, and in-office facelift, neck lift, and eyelid surgery). Dr. Thompson also specializes in reconstructive surgery, including those associated with facial trauma, skin cancer/mohs defects, and breathing problems related to nasal fractures, nasal valve obstruction, and septal deviations.

Dr. Thompson has published numerous articles and presented at a variety of academic meetings, including those sponsored by the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Triological Society, and Facial Plastic Surgery International. He values community service and has volunteered his time both locally and abroad, including several medical mission trips to Vietnam, India, and Africa.
